    3. Inbound Traffic

By now it shouldn’t be a secret that social media can greatly influence the success of a company. Used by more than 2.5 billion people worldwide, social media platforms like Facebook or Instagram have changed how consumers find the products and services that they’re interested in. If your go-to marketer doesn’t have social media marketing in its portfolio, it’s time to switch to a better deal.

Don’t be fooled by the numbers. Even if more than 95% of all marketers claim to be using social media marketing as a method of increasing their clients’ traffic and sales, less than 80% of them are actually using the right tools. It’s not enough to be doing something just because everyone else is doing it. Below we’ll show you the 3 most important reasons why your business should be on social media right now.

    Brand Awareness

How can your business be successful if people aren’t aware of it? One of the biggest advantages of social media is that it’s free. Yes, paid ads exist but that’s not the point. The point is that these platforms are very powerful tools for attracting potential customers.

If your business doesn’t already have a social media page, we recommend setting up a profile for at least Facebook and Instagram. If your services are catered more towards professionals, LinkedIn should also be on your list.
The way Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn work is pretty simple. Once you have a business page you start sharing content with your followers.

Moreover, all of these platforms allow you to interact with your customers. This means sharing ideas, improving your services based on feedback, and so on. If you have employees, make sure they share your business posts as often as possible. Posting content on a regular basis will rapidly increase your audience.

    Conversion Rates

You can’t make a profit if people aren’t buying your products. We already know that conversion rates are fairly low. Generally speaking, the average conversion rate for various marketing campaigns is around 2-3%. It could be higher or it could be lowered based on many factors.

One of these factors is a strong social media presence. According to a recent study, interacting with your customers through at least one of the many social media platforms can easily lead to a higher conversion rate.

There’s a basic concept behind this. Once you establish your presence on social media you start interacting with all of your potential customers. You’re posting blogs, images, videos, and so on and you’re creating a connection between your company and your clients. The more people that see your content in their feed, the more will visit your website for more information.

The most important thing to remember is that people love doing business with other people. That’s why social media is so powerful for conversion rates: you’re giving your company a face that interacts with customers.

    Inbound Traffic

Last but not least, social media presence will increase your inbound traffic. Without it, chances are that your website visitors are your already-existing customers. It’s hard to increase your inbound traffic without having a strong presence on social media platforms because people outside your customer base aren’t really aware of your website.

Think of social media as a direct path to your website. Every post that you publish has the potential to attract new customers through likes, shares, and paid ads. We’ve already covered the fact that more than 2.5 billion people use at least one social media platform on a daily basis. If you could attract just 0.001% of those people, you’d have 25,000 people who weren’t previously aware of your company. Think about it.
